WHY JOIN MOD?


Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C., Incorporated (MOD) serves as a collective of progressive, college-educated and professional individuals, whose purpose is to support, serve, and empower LGBTQ+ people of color and other underserved communities through established programs, community outreach, and mentorship.


Every year MOD chapters welcome New Members into our Brotherhood. As a new member, you’ll learn about the elements of MOD: Compassion, Harmony, Ingenuity, Intelligence and Patience. Throughout your life, you’ll continue to grow in MOD through leadership roles, service and fostering a sense of community for other likeminded individuals.

Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C., Incorporated (MOD) is a social and service organization with a distinct mission to provide a world altering service to our local, regional and national communities. Since our first organized assembly, chapters of Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C., Incorporated have completed over 3,000 hours of service in the form of personal/professional development seminars, LGBTQIA+ community health fairs, disaster relief, Habitat for Humanity, and HIV/AIDS Walks throughout the contiguous United States and abroad.

Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C. is passionate about advancing not only the lives of our members, but the lives of the LGBTQ+ communities of color nationwide. Whether it’s initiating community service efforts, raising awareness for LGBT health and wellness resources, or navigating the unique and challenging issues facing underserved communities of color, we stand together BOLDLY to make a DISTINC change in our communities!

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C. (MOD) has a diverse range of leadership development programs to empower and encourage our membership to seek leadership positions. Additionally, we encourage collegiate members to take advantage of student organizational leadership training opportunities provided by their institutions.
