MOD Anti-Hazing Policy

Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C., Inc. strictly prohibits hazing in any form whether physical or mental as a term or condition of membership in the organization. Hazing is illegal and a crime in most jurisdictions. Candidates to the organization should participate only in the sanctioned membership process of the organization. Candidates must not agree to submit to hazing in order to obtain membership. "Pledging" has been officially abolished as a means of obtaining membership in Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C. Candidates must not submit themselves, or agree to submit themselves, to any membership activities that are prohibited by the organization. Members of Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C. (MOD) are forbidden from requiring any candidate to engage in prohibited membership activities. Members of Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C. are not authorized to require any candidate to engage in prohibited membership activities. Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C., Incorporated (MOD) disclaims responsibility or liability for any damages, claims, or injury that is related to or results from the conduct of any individual(s), groups, or associations purporting to perform any unapproved acts in the name of MOD.

PENALTIES FOR HAZING


Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C., Incorporated (MOD) shall impose sanctions upon any members, chapters, and applicants/prospective members who are involved in any form of hazing, including being aware of and not reporting hazing or allegations of hazing to the chapter president; the Regional Director; and/or the National First Vice President; and the Executive Director of MOD. The type of sanctions to be imposed upon chapters and members depends on the nature of the violation and any history of any such prior violations.
