National Programs


The organization's national programs are community outreach mentoring initiatives that have been adopted by the organization’s governing body and mandated for implementation by all of its chapters. These represent the organization's signature efforts on equality, mentoring, and educating. 

DISTINC University


DISTINC University is an education and training program developed by Life Member Rafael Foster, and was accepted by the National Executive Board, December 5, 2012.


DISTINC University believes that chapters are the lifeline of Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C., Incorporated; and therefore, each must function with the utmost effectiveness in performing various services for the community and personal development of its members. We are committed to excellence in training chapters and officers in the fundamental skills necessary to run an effective chapter within the Men of D.I.S.T.N.C., Incorporated. We believe that by clearly identifying and understanding the roles and responsibilities of each chapter officer that the member will be able to perform his duties and responsibilities to best of his ability in service and leadership. We further believe that providing the necessary resources for planning, implementing, and evaluating chapter programs that our community outreach and personal development will be enhanced and uplifting.

Project Red


This collaborative project is designed to provide advice, support, advocacy, education, motivation and skill-building on issues of responsibility, relationships, and sexual health for men of the LGBTQ+ community. Designed to provide men with current and accurate information about prevention and inclusion, Project RED consists of a series of workshops and informational sessions conducted by Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C., Incorporated brothers.

Foundations


These entities further our economic and charitable agenda to enhance our institution and the lives of those in our communities.

MOD Charitable Foundation


The mission of the Foundation is to promote scholarship and academic achievement and provide resources, services and advocacy to the global community, including members of Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C., Incorporated. The Foundation was commissioned in 2019 by Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C., Incorporated, brainchild of Life Member, Ramon D. Johnson, to serve as the funding engine for the philanthropic programs and initiatives of the organization. Toward that effort, the foundation is focused on endowment creation, corporate and individual charitable fundraising, programming development to impact local, national, and global communities.

Buddy to Brother Foundation


Buddy to Brother is a program/foundation developed by Diamond Member, Toarian Milem and Past National President Frank D. Dorsey II.

Buddy to Brother Foundation helps newly initiated members realize their potential and build their future through mentoring. We nurture new members and strengthen communities. Since 2011, Buddy to Brother has operated under the belief that inherent in every new member is incredible potential. Buddy to Brother makes meaningful matched between seasoned members (buddy) and new members (brother) in cities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of new members.
