Operation V.E.A.P.

Voter Education and Access Project

A civic initiative of Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C., Incorporated

Operation V.E.A.P. is Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C., Inc.’s national civic engagement initiative designed to educate, empower, and mobilize our communities—particularly Black gay, bisexual, and same-gender-loving men of color—to take an active role in the democratic process.

Rooted in our commitment to social impact and equity, Operation V.E.A.P. focuses on:

  • Voter Education: Providing accessible, nonpartisan information on voting rights, policy issues, and civic responsibility;
  • Voter Registration & Access: Increasing voter turnout by promoting registration drives, mail-in ballot awareness, and voting plan support;
  • Community Engagement: Hosting town halls, virtual panels, and forums that uplift LGBTQ+ voices of color in politics and leadership;
  • Service Integration: Allowing chapter participation in VEAP-related events to count toward community service hours, reinforcing activism as a core tenet of our mission.
